Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 25 August 2026
A Keptslot booking page is published on our domain, and its wording, prices and questions are written by the business, not by us. This policy states what we will act on.
Scope
This policy applies to every business with a Keptslot account, to everything published on its booking page, and to anyone using a booking page.
It forms part of the Terms of Service, which incorporate it. Breaching it is a breach of that agreement.
Nothing here limits your obligation to comply with the law. Conduct can be unacceptable under this policy while remaining lawful.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the content of your booking page, the services you offer through it, the appointments it accepts, and the conduct of anyone you give access to your workspace.
Not knowing what was published under your account is not a defence.
Prohibited services and content
Do not use Keptslot to offer anything illegal where you or your customer is located.
Do not offer sexual services.
Do not impersonate another business or person, use a name or branding you have no right to, or present yourself as affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by anyone when you are not.
Do not describe a service or a price misleadingly. This includes advertising a price you do not intend to honour, describing a qualification or licence you do not hold, and stating an outcome you cannot deliver.
Do not offer a service you are not licensed to provide where a licence is required, including regulated health, legal, financial and personal care services.
Do not publish content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, or that promotes violence or self-harm, and do not publish sexual content involving minors or content that sexualises them in any way.
Do not publish content you do not have the rights to, including photographs, logos and copy taken from someone else.
Booking forms and customer data
Do not collect contact details or any other information for a purpose other than the appointment. A booking form is not a mailing-list signup.
Do not use custom booking questions to ask for more than the appointment needs. In particular, do not ask for government identification numbers, financial account or card details, passwords, or health information that the service does not require.
Card details must never be requested through a custom booking question. Payments go through the payment step, which is hosted by Stripe. A question that asks for a card number is a phishing form and will be removed without notice.
Do not export or use your customers' information for anything other than serving those customers. You are responsible for handling it lawfully. See the Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Messaging
Do not send, or attempt to use Keptslot to send, any message a customer did not opt in to. The Text Message Terms set out what opting in means.
Keptslot sends only transactional messages about a customer's own appointment. Do not attempt to place marketing content inside them, including in a service name, a confirmation note or a booking question.
Do not upload or import phone numbers. There is no way to do this, and attempting it is a breach.
Deposits and payments
Do not take a deposit or payment for an appointment you do not intend to provide.
Do not set a deposit that misrepresents the total price, and do not describe a deposit as refundable when it is not, or the reverse.
The balance owed after a deposit must be stated accurately. Keptslot does not collect or track the balance, so your booking page is the only place a customer learns it.
Your refund policy is free text that we display and never interpret. It must be truthful, and you must honour it. Publishing a refund policy you do not follow is a breach of this policy, whatever the policy says.
Do not use Keptslot to process payments unrelated to an appointment on your booking page.
A pattern of cancelled appointments with unreturned deposits, or of chargebacks, will be treated as evidence that a deposit was taken for an appointment there was no intention to provide.
Technical conduct
Do not attempt to access data belonging to another business on Keptslot, or any part of the service you have not been granted access to.
Do not probe, scan or test the security of Keptslot without our written permission, and do not interfere with or disrupt the service, its infrastructure, or anyone else's use of it.
Do not circumvent rate limits, plan limits or authentication, and do not use automated means to create accounts or bookings at scale.
Do not book appointments you do not intend to attend, or book under another person's identity. This applies to anyone using a booking page, not only to businesses.
If you find a security flaw, report it to security@keptslot.com. We will not pursue a good-faith report that did not access other people's data or degrade the service.
What we do about a breach
We can take a booking page offline, and we can suspend or close an account.
Where the problem looks like a mistake we will normally ask first. Where it does not, or where customers are being harmed, we will not.
Taking a booking page offline does not cancel appointments customers have already booked, and we will not delete a business's records as a sanction. Your data remains subject to term, termination and deletion in the Terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Where a page taken offline holds unsettled customer payments, we will act to see that customers are refunded or the appointments honoured before the account is closed.
We may report conduct to law enforcement or a regulator where the law requires it or where people are at risk.
To appeal a decision, write to support@keptslot.com. Tell us what you believe we got wrong and we will look again.
Reporting a booking page
Every Keptslot booking page has a Report this page link in its footer. It carries the page you are reporting, so use it in preference to writing from scratch. A report that does not identify a page is usually one we cannot act on.
You can also email abuse@keptslot.com. Tell us the booking page's web address and what is wrong with it.
If you paid a deposit and believe the business will not honour the appointment, say so in your report and include the date and amount. Your payment was made to the business rather than to us, so your first route is still the business and, failing that, your card issuer. We will act on the page as described above.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Changes
We may update this policy as new conduct appears. The date at the top of the page changes when we do, and material changes affecting businesses are notified as the Terms describe.
